In a desperate attempt to right his wrongs, Kavik has joined forces with the While Lotus who claim to have common goals with our beloved Avatar. Yangchen per usual is haunted by her past: the mistakes she made until this point as well as in every previous life. This odd combination of Kavik vs the world and Yangchen vs. the world may just be enough to reunite our heroes in an attempt to finally bring peace (or something like it) to the Four Nations.
This book just absolutely did not let up once it got going. It was so twisty and action packed, and I loved the quick jumps to the past to explain the various heists and schemes. I loved the characters, their arcs, and really just everything about this book. Every one of these books brings more interesting and exciting information about the world of the Avatar and I would read them forever if they kept coming out.
There was exactly one point in this book where something happened and I got so angry that I had to fully put the book down. I did have faith and come back to it though and I'm glad I did. The moment served its purpose. It just hurt.
This is a must read for fans of The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra
