The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post
by Allison Pataki
For some reason I thought this book was about time travel/immortality, so I was quite confused in the beginning lol.
I have never heard of Marjorie Post or her company (might be because I'm not from the USA), but her life is quite interesting. At moments I thought that the book was heavily influences by The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo just by the main character and the focus on the love interests. Also, can I just point out that you can be the richest, most gorgeous woman and men will still be trash because of your trauma and because they think they're better than you?
The writing was very... surface-level? It was really hard to have an emotional attachment to the characters as the writing was very matter-of-fact and no additional emotions.
Also, eat the rich.
