The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix
2.0
2.5 - 3 stars.
I really wanted to like this one. The premise was good and after a rocky start it was moving along fine. The scenes of the girls moaning and sniping at each other really didn't work for me. After a while ~I began to not like any characters.
After that, the main story kicked in. The lead characters routines and how she deals with being a Final Girl were interesting but after a while seemed a little overused. I thought' I get it, she is cautious'
At about 75% I was ready for the book to be over. Maybe its because I spaced it over 5 days but it really dragged for me. Ultimately I finished because I didn't want to DNF it.
This is one of those occasions where I don't necessarily completely blame the book, maybe I wasn't in the right mood.
I can quite easily see others really enjoying this one.
