I loved the first one so I was so, so excited for this book. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations :(
Caly was whiny and annoying. Her toing and froing between the 2 men was messy and frustrating. Mendax (THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!) started talking like a Shakespearean poet and made me cringe so hard I couldn't take him seriously for 90% of the book.
The plot twist did get me. I was like "there's no way! She's done it again!" I do commend Jeneane for her twists. But overall really disappointed and sad the characters got so cheapened.
