Maybe this story just wasn’t meant for me. I was looking forward to cozy little fantasy, which I guess is not untrue, but it left me wanting more. I was bored for most of the story and I know it is a prequel of sorts but I really didn’t feel much connection to any of the characters. 

This was definitely a case of wanting to love it but just didn’t.
