Marrying the Ketchups
by Jennifer Close
The background the author chose for this story was interesting- Chicago in late 2016/early 2017 following the Cubs' World Series win and Trump's presidential win. You follow the perspective of 3 cousins that all belong to the Sullivan family whose life kinda revolves around the family restaurant. All of 3 of them are going through hard things and feel like the world is falling apart. Although I felt like interesting points were brought up (& I was excited to find out what "marrying the ketchups" meant) and I didn't find myself enjoying the story all that much. It also had quite a bit of language in it.
