Faithless in Death
by J.D. Robb
I've been reading this series since the late 90s, and I've now read all 52 of them. I think if you spend that much time on a book series, your dedication is apparent. I loved that Faithless in Death deals with a cult. I'm always keen for cult books, and the cult within this book is creepy and crazy. There are a lot of moving pieces in this book, but Nora effortlessly ties them together. I haven't been super enthusiastic about the last 4 or so In Death books, but Faithless in Death reminded me of everything that is great about this series.
