Good information, though there was an error. Disney made an adaptation of The Princess and the Frog that was released in 2009. And the moral was not “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Therefore, I’m kind of skeptical about other information, but whatever else I already knew did match up with the text.
The author also believes in fairies. This isn’t a bad thing, but I myself don’t believe they exist. This is just a heads up for anyone going into this book with the thought that it’s a purely scholarly, academic text. Don’t get me wrong, there is good stuff in here. It’s just presented differently from what I expected.
