Little Cruelties by Liz Nugent

It’s me, not the book.
I skimmed the chapters to the end. Just hated all these characters and the time period was hard for me to get in to, it jumped around a lot and all the scenes and settings felt like they were from the ‘60s or ‘70s in my mind. Not a bad book, just so much happening to everyone and adults acting like kids, sibling rivalries and a mix of tragedies that I found too much, like in a tired way because there was always something terrible happening or about to happen. It was a sad and depressing tone, and I struggle with books like that because I tend to read them melodramatic even when they’re serious and deep.
