I can’t believe it took me so long to read this. It’s amazing. Jess might be one of my favourite heroines of all time. She’s so into Sebastian and also so badass. I like how she keeps him on his toes but also really sees him and gives him the benefit of the doubt. So much happens in this book, and it’s well-paced and never feels long or overwhelming.
The one thing I didn’t care for here was how Sebastian’s physical appearance was described. The whole “black equals bad” thing feels gross even for the 90s.
