Interesting concept, wonderful artwork, but the narrative just doesn't make much sense. I think the writer could have worked within a more logical and robust theological framework to make much the same statements about the end of hope, forgiveness, etc. Perhaps the story isn't 'broken' but poorly portrayed and largely misunderstood in the popular sphere. Some might find some of the content here offensive, but again I do find the concept fascinating, and I think the statements can be made, it was just inadequately executed in the narrative.
