The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom by Jonathan Haidt

4.0

An interesting look into what happiness is, how we define it, and what we think of as important elements in our search for happiness. I found that there were parts of the book that dove to deep and lingered on a topic too long, but overall the message was well delivered. As an aethiest myself, I appreciated Haidts approach to the role religion plays in happiness, and his ability to address it from a non-preachy way. It think there is a lot to be learned from this, and as usual with any book on social psychology it can be taken with a grain of salt.
