1.75
I'm actually giving this a 1.5 but rounding up to 1.75 because of the Olive and Adam appearance.
This book was a mammoth for me. I started this book in July and then restarted it back somewhere in October and now I have finally finished it in February.
There wasn't anything I particularly liked in this book. The number one thing I didn't like=Elsie. And that is not because of her constant people pleasing because I myself can be a people pleaser, I just didn't like the way she was written. Really the way that any of the characters were written.
Maybe another reason I didn't like this novel was because I hate Physics, so I was reading about a STEM topic I don't enjoy.
Another reason could be that I just didn't like the plot. Jack didn't make me swoon. I thought the humor was a little too cringe in this one (Ali got a lot of crap for galaxy leggings in her previous novel, which I was all for, but the dill pickle lip balm? I can only get behind so much).
Needless to say, as always, I am only one opinion and I could see how others may really like this book. It just wasn't my cup of tea. My next read is Bride so I am very excited to see if I will be in Ali's good graces again.
