Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative? by Mark Fisher

5.0

This is a great introduction to the problem of capitalism. Reading this was encouraging because it points the finger of society’s problems (education, mental health, climate, parenting, etc) at the culprit: the center-less void of capitalism. This helped me pin down my restless rage and gives me hope towards the alternatives. The first step is that we must recognize that what makes capitalism so awe-consuming, like the air we breathe, is that it is a system that presents itself as the only way (the real), when it is in fact a veil of what is truly real.
