Unravel Me
by Tahereh Mafi
Weird switch of main love interests. I just did not understand how they would redeem a bad guy.
Again, horrible world-building
Side characters are practically non-existent
Melo draaaamaaaaaaaaaaugh. Like we're in the middle of a revolution, can we speed this up?
Would’ve probably loved this when I was younger, but even then, it misses a bit of oomph, makes me want to rebuild the story in my head instead like some sort of self-centered psychopath.
The amount of responsibility given to young adults was uncalled for and the decisions that some characters made (specifically Castle) were utterly moronic. Letting Warner go and giving a lot of missions to Juliett is probably amongst the stupidest things a leader of any rebel army would do. Yeah, why not let the pubescent kids just run a whole entire revolution with no previous experience? Sounds like a great plan... Oh? You're whole resistance got annihilated by the evil government? Who would've thunk.
Would've probably liked it better had taken itself half as seriously sometimes.
