An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn
3.0

For it being a riff of Cinderella I enjoyed this book. The love story between Benedict and Sophie was compelling but Benedict’s anger was actually alarming. I wish she would’ve told him so much sooner about the ball but his reaction was so dumb. When I remember she is in her early twenties(idk what Benedict’s excuse is bc he is supposed to be older) her immaturity makes a lot more sense but dang was it frustrating to have the whole plot built upon love at first sight and both of them being so bone headed about it. Posey as a character I found to be the most compelling torn between her mother and her sister. This was definitely the funniest book so far the back and forth at the prison had me laughing out loud. I really enjoyed getting more into the family relationships here with the siblings and especially the mother son bond.
