I didn't like switching between the POVs of Ethan and Fiona and at times this wasn't clear, especially when listening to it being read out loud. This was my first thriller fiction book and it felt too real and felt a bit icky to read a
child being groomed by an adult. The ending felt really flat and was disappointing to see it all go back to Lucy, who despite also failing herself, seems to think she can mentor Rose, who killed Fiona for being a failure.
This book wasn't for me but I thought I'd see it through to the end, which gave it it's 1 star for keeping me going to the end rather than being a DNF.
