When I Am Through with You by Stephanie Kuehn

2.0

On a scale of ICK to WOW, this book was a resounding EHHH. Take it or leave it.

What I liked:

1. The premise. Great idea; you drew me in.
2. The ending. Kuehn wrote an ending that brought the story full circle. It was enough to induce an "I appreciate what you did there" nod. Nothing ground breaking but notable nonetheless.

What I didn't like:

1. Everything else. I have a hard time believing that with today's current school regulations that a school would allow for a group of teenagers to go climb a mountain with only one chaperone to supervise them. And what--did the park rangers forget about a group of inexperienced junior orienteers sauntering past them a day prior to a large snow storm blowing into the area?? Oh, HOW CONVENIENT.

This novel was a little to "perfect storm" of circumstances to be believable to me.
