The Mandala of Sherlock Holmes: The Adventures of the Great Detective in India and Tibet by Jamyang Norbu

2.0

After falling off the face of earth from reichenbach falls, Sherlock Holmes did come back to action. However, there is a brief mention in the tale that follows that Holmes was in Asia during his self imposed exile. It is this premise that Jamyang Norbu sets to work on in his book.

Sherlock Holmes is one of the epitomes of reason and the rock hard, stone cold reason characterizes him much more than anything else. The tale begins with panache and a little bit of surprise but this soon diminishes and all traces of familiarity that you felt with the character flees. Slowly the tale descends into cliche and pretty much the usual twists and turns with the tale growing stale and running into a rushed and predictable climax...

Readable or...avoidable
