So many details which were great. The link between Holmes and the fair wasn’t super strong, so it sometimes felt like I was reading two different books. The author also failed to analyze the gender and class aspects of the topics at hand while spending a LOT of time on the architects and their mediocrity. Meh. I get why people like it and I appreciate all the detailed research that went into it.
