Truly such a joy to read a story of Queer resistance in rural America. The kids (in real life, and in this novel) are alright. This book filled me with equal rage and hope. I’m so glad to live in a world with real life Ezra Hayes who fight for worthwhile causes. I’m so proud to be Queer and wish I would have had this book as a young person.
