Dance of Souls by Sylvia Mercedes

4.0

Though I flew through this one, I have a couple of mixed feelings about it. While I did love the character moments, particularly with Cerine, Gerard, and Ayleth, this book didn't quite feel like it moved the overarching plot very far.

Ayleth is still a rugged, focused warrior who lives for the fight and for herself. I liked Terryn's development up until the end of the book. For me, Cerine and Gerard stole the show. I enjoyed their interactions and found Gerard to be a lot deeper and more engaging.

The action is still exciting and the ending held a lot of revelations, but something about it didn't quite catch my attention as the previous books did. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next books, and can't wait to get some answers and hopefully, alliances between the characters.
