I've said this before - this isn't your conventional romance, but what a romance it is. Probably the most romantic thus far in this series, as Ondry and Liam's relationship continues to evolve.

There's actually a purpose, a goal that is driving Ondry to ensure his beloved palteia remains by his side for many years beyond natural biology. Language/philosophical/ human/Rownt barriers abound, bringing many questions and few assurances. However what remains steadfast are the feelings these two have for each other. I continue to bask in Ondry's fierce protectiveness, his complete and utter devotion to Liam. These two work so in sync, and above all else, put each other first which is always, always, lovely to witness.  Their dynamic has progressed and a new level of intimacy is reached, which I'm sure many will greatly appreciate.

Gala continues to impress with cultural expansion and exploration as these two races strive to understand and forge a new precedent. Always eye opening to our own human ways of thinking, this remains smart and thought provoking.  She surely doesn't shirk on Rownt nature, values, and ways of living either - making the pairing of Ondry and Liam that much more precious and rare.

So I'll reiterate what many reviewers have pointed out...

"The Rownt do feel love the way couples might, but they can’t have it. They are a world of Doms, and they aren’t allowed to touch anyone. Touch is all about control. And then every once in a while a palteia comes along, and that’s the one person they’re ever allowed to love....can ever love unconditionally and keep forever.”

Swoon!

Tell me that doesn't push all your buttons?

Admittedly, there's less angst here and more of a reaffirmation of how solid these two are. Have no doubt though, it's evident the feels here are so strong. Their joined lives have really just begun, and there's definitely hope and anticipation on the horizon. There's certainly plenty more to look forward to, as I know Ondry will move and defy all in achieving his mission.

I can't wait.
