This is actually a very nice read! Jax is a fireman and has returned to Brooklyn after ten years to settle. He plans to visit the Mancini-family as well, the family that treated him as one of them as a teenager. And Frankie Mancini. She is still in his thoughts after he stood her up for their first date, the day he left New York.
But Frankie (now called Becca) still has strong feelings about being stood up by Jax and -when she meets him in a bar and he does not recognize her - she finds a way to embarrass him to get back at him.
Jax is a great MC and a total hot guy. There were some steamy scenes between him and Becca. What I disliked was the sometimes immature behavior of Becca and how she kept turning hot and cold. She was 15 when Jax left NY, so her behavior was a bit ott. I understand she had a bad track record with guys, but ... I liked that Jax never gave up.
Overall it was a good story, well written and evenly paced. More than just the formulaic plot. Enjoyable.
