I really enjoyed the setting and the characters in this book. The way academia is described and how truthful Ali Hazelwood depicts it is amazing and a reason in itself to read this book. I really enjoyed the first half of the book better then the last, but the ending was amazing. I thought that some of the tropes in this book were not used in a unique way - Tom Benton, for example. The sexual harassment that Olive faces is an incredible way to share how women in STEM are often discriminated against in every possible way, and I liked that arc of the story.
