The choice to use Jacob as the main character is baffling to me - in the sense that he already knows the world and everything in it, which makes discovering it not as exciting. The few times a different Character has the POV, I delighted in the new perspectives - especially Clara. The world itself is interesting, but I have a few qualms with the choices made in the story. I would have liked the characters to SHOW their deep relationships they allegedly have instead of it being told to us constantly. Great concept, medium execution. I would have probably liked it more if I were younger.
