If you thought that Grandma Nadine was done medaling, think again. Not only was she able to reunite Kacey and Travis in ‘The Bet,’ now she has brought Char back into Jake’s life. Bent on ruining Jake’s life, Grandma Nadine forces Char and Jake together in her wager against Travis and Kacey. Char and Jake have known each other since they were kids, but after many mistakes they have grown apart, but now they can’t seem to get away from each other long enough. Their relationship takes a turn when Jake must find himself and discover who he is. This novel is full of romance and of course you can’t forget the saucy language. ;]

This novel was as great as ‘The Bet,’ but definitely brought something else to the table. We were able to see such great character development from Jake and we were able to meet Char and see their romance blossom, and see what hardships they went through. Jake breaks through his immaturity and we get to see a whole new side to him, the side I actually like. The small monologues are what create his new character. They show just how much he has changed, and thank goodness he knows how to throw a punch. I didn’t want this story to end and thankfully it doesn’t with the third book to the series being ‘The Dare,’ and getting to fawn more over these relationships while learning to love a new.

I read this novel while at work and let me just say it was the best decision I ever made. I laughed out loud so many times that I had other employees thinking I was a crazy person. I was so glad that Kacey and Travis were brought back into this because I didn’t think that their story was over yet. This novel was just a stand alone, but a continuation without all the complication.
