The depth of this world is so thoroughly explored beyond just a scythe apprentice’s view from the previous book. A couple of big reveals felt rewarding as payoffs, including how this book is leaving off for continuation. The final chapters definitely had me in tears due to how invested I’ve become in the Thunderhead’s world and the scythedom.
