The Promise of Stardust
by Priscille Sibley
Never have had a book invoked such feeling In me. This story is a beautifully written tale that left me conflicted and questioning my own ideas of right and wrong. It took a total of 2 hours to read but this story was so heart wrenching that 2 hours ended up being spanned out from January to February. I cried like a baby reading this story and more than anything I wish I could reread it and experience it brand new all over again. This is possibly one of the most beautiful and thoughtful pieces of literature to ever cross my path. I will carry this book with me forever and think of the characters and their lives randomly in my future days. The promise of stardust absolutely delivered on its promise and left me a mess full of emotions I haven’t felt from a book before. Captivating, beautiful, heartbreaking, I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a good cry. The only time I put the book down was to wipe away my own tears or to sit and just stare for a minute and contemplate my own life. I wish I could give it a higher rating. I honestly don’t have the words to describe the impact this piece of literature had on me. Just wow.
