As a girl born in 1993 in New England and a huge Red Sox fan. This book took me back to a place in my childhood I almost forgot. I don't think another book will connect with me in quite the same way. I could picture myself at Fenway Park (having a cup of chowder from the Legal Sea Foods), back before the seats on the monster and watching my old favorite players. The way the protagonist used her love of baseball as a way to keep the faith, is something a young girl would utilize as a form of religion and was executed perfectly.
