Probably closer to 3.5 stars.
You can definitely see the improvement in the writing of this book. It had a thread of humor and I enjoyed how the several plots in the book came together. Writing from a few different perspectives was executed well. The plot/mystery was tidied up a little too nicely for my liking but I liked the characters a lot more in this one than the first one.
The time skip part in this one was less obvious than in the first one so it was hard to follow completely where in the timeline we were.
Looking forward to a third one.
