"Frankenstein, but, like, with dinosaurs?" Also fierce women, terrible men, and subtle queerness. I don't recall how this book ended up on my TBR, but I'm very glad it did. To be honest, I don't know if I've ever read Frankenstein in full...regardless, this book, while obviously uses Frankenstein as a starting inspiration, it also holds well as it's own. The way it expands on the original and draws in other elements is super fun.

Also, I appreciate how often Mary wants to kick horrible people.
