It took me longer than planned to get through this one, partially because life gets busy, but also because it was a very slow read overall. The action doesn't really start to get going until nearly 2/3 of the way through the book. Now, I may also have been missing some pieces, having never actually seen the original Dune movies or read those books, so there might have been key plot points that it was building toward that I am simply ignorant to. And while it wrapped up the overall story line, it was a bit anti-climactic overall. I felt like I wanted more from the ending (and I still was mostly satisfied), I just was left wanting a bit more, especially from the Arrakis story lines!
