Whiskey & Ribbons by Leesa Cross-Smith

Evi is a stunning churchgoing ballerina who lives in Louisville, Kentucky. Eamon is a police officer who loves his family, friends, and Louisville community. Evi and Eamon instantly fall in love, leading to a whirlwind romance rich in love and too good to be true. Two years later, tragedy strikes when Eamon dies in the line of duty mere days before his first child is born.

Eamon’s adopted brother, Dylan, swoops in to comfort his brother’s widow and newborn son while navigating his own grief and painful past. The relationship between Dylan and Evi becomes complicated, tender, and steeped in love that cannot possibly be explained in words.

Leesa Cross-Smith’s writing is lush, birthing characters who are both compelling and simple in the most relatable way. People need to stop sleeping on this gifted author! What a debut piece of literary genius!
