In writing the Sin du Jour series author Matt Wallace has taken the best bits of celebrity-chef-culture, modern fantasy tropes, and a bit of noir and thrown them together with fast-paced, straightforward narrative to make fun, easily digested stories that go down a treat.
The second book in the series, Lustlocked, finds the crew of Sin du Jour catering a wedding between a Goblin prince and a mortal woman. Naturally, mayhem ensues and soon the heroes and anti-heroes find themselves battling strange creatures amidst a library full of celebrities and a magical kitchen. It's a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
