Of course I knew the book wouldn’t be exactly like the film, but it was wildly different. The entire book felt like one ginormous run-on sentence and that constantly kept getting caught on different trains of thought.
I also wasn’t expecting the book to be a violent as it was. Lots of talk about physical and sexual violence against women specifically.
Honestly, save yourself the time and just watch the movie.
