genderbandit 's review for:
An Anthropologist on Mars
by Oliver Sacks
funny
informative
reflective
slow-paced
Some of the text is understandably dated at this point. Generally I loved Sack's writing and style, a good mix of scholarly but accessible, but I did find he had a tendency to repeat himself in terms of his musings about humanity and the nature of particular conditions, especially autism. Still, fascinating book and I plan to look for his others!
