NOTE: DO NOT SUPPORT NEIL GAIMAN. GET IT FROM A LIBRARY OR PIRATE IT IF POSSIBLE.
I am an absolute sucker for religious fiction, and Good Omens is no exception. As a religious studies student, however, there comes agitation from the idea that the book of Revelation wasn't actualy meant to be a prediction of future events (aka armageddon/doomsday/etc.), and that the "antichrist" is not actually an individual demonic entity like popular culture leads us to believe (a discussion of ancient apocalyptic literature and theocracy for another time as I could go on forever. I am very autistic about religion.), but the story nevertheless is near and dear to my heart.
Additionally: I haven't watched the show yet, I should mention, so I can't speak to show-book accuracy.
I love the storytelling style, and the characters are very charming and, at least to me, well-written.
