The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle
3.0

I read this book in school in English class and I can still remember pupils calling this book "unreal" or "exaggerated". Well, I think exactly the opposite is the case. It tells a story of a whole generation of real people. People who left their family and their home in hope for a better life in a country where they have to hide, experience racism and unfair treatment. This is very real up until today and there is no denying in it.
