3.5 stars rounded to 4. I won a copy of this book in a GoodReads giveaway. The characters were well-written. The plot moved along at a good pace. I enjoyed the setting of New York and the Hamptons. I didn't know anything about the artist colony in the Hamptons so that was really interesting. The limited choices that women had in those days, especially after their contributions to workforce during WWII, was an interesting plot point. This is my first book by this author, but I will definitely go back and read her other books.
