This series is in the light fun reading category as are most cozy witch mysteries. They can also be classified as young adult. We're not talking fine literature with intricate character and plot development. If you like cozy witch mysteries, by all means pick up this series (9 books). I've upped my points to 4 as given it's 1. a cozy and 2. a young adult - it should be there. For me personally over everything I read - it's an 'I liked it' at 3. I did read all 9 books plus the Starry Hollow sister series.
