Did not finish book.

I genuinely wanted to like this, because I've been keen to try more Asian authors and the stories they weave with their mythology in mind. But I've just come to the 20% mark and I genuinely feel nothing for the characters, nor am I in any way concerned with what may happen to them. The stakes feel nonexistent.
