A love story set in Berlin during the 1980s. It follows, Thomas, an American and a writer who wishes to discover the real Berlin and how it faces daily life living under the ominous Wall. There he meets and falls in love with Petra, a woman with a sad past.

I thought this was a great story and Douglas Kennedy has a great way of writing a great yarn, he's definitely piqued my interest in learning more about this time, as only a little girl when the wall eventually fell.

A must for all Douglas Kennedy fans.
