The Hawthorne Legacy is book two in The Inheritance Games series. I found this sequel to be just as good as book one. It had enough twists to keep me guessing, and enough wild shit to make me think "f*cking rich people" every once in a while.

We pick up with Avery after she and the Hawthorne boys have solved Tobias Hawthorne's game, only to realize that it isn't over. There are still mysteries and secrets to uncover, especially about the death of Tobias' only son. All of this while Avery is still navigating the minefield that is being an instant heiress, everyone trying to kill her, and everyone trying to find a way to get her money. Oh, and she's still trying to figure out her feelings for Grayson and Jameson.

Although this book is all about the mystery and romance, it's also about Avery figuring out what she wants. It's about her allowing herself to want things. I love that we got to see more of Max, she's a great character, but at this point she's just the Asian sidekick best friend only there to serve the main character's story. I want way more from her. I also want to learn more about Libby, Avery's sister.

I am interested to see where the series goes after this, since the big mysteries seem to be solved.
