I had a few reservations about the direction the "flashback" half of the story was going, and about the resolution...
After a few days stewing on it, though...it works. I enjoyed the read; it was a page-turner. I can't wait to find out the ramifications of its events in the follow-up by Keith RA Decandido, probably my favorite Trek author.
