Mallory is 18 months sober and has been recommended by her sponsor to nanny the five year old son, Teddy, of a wealthy family. However, something mysterious and seemingly paranormal is going on with Teddy and Mallory isn’t sure who she can turn to for help.
I picked up this book because I saw rave reviews online and everyone was talking about the pictures throughout. The pictures are absolutely integral to the story and I’m obsessed.
I love that it was a mix of criminal and paranormal. I hate when horror books completely explain away the paranormal aspect that has been building the whole time.
Also, it ended nicely so I didn’t feel freaked out when I was staying up late to finish the book.
