very slow book but truly a wonderful end, i’ve never seen a character development like it.
in most of the book i felt criticism for how bland and basic the writer was but it wasn’t until the final few chapters of the book i realised how purposeful this was (this is my first reading of a Moshfegh book so i was not familiar with her style or talent) truly a wonderful book.
not inspiring in a conventional way, nor was it lighthearted by most regular means but nonetheless a book that changed my own perspective and mindset.
i felt very fulfilled by the ending, for reasons i can’t explain
