The Forty Rules of Love
by Elif Shafak
I honestly started this book in my first year of college and then put it away but now I found it again and ended up reading it.
I thought it was a fantastic book, and it had all the components of a typical Turkish book, including the various point of views. I really thought I would hate the alternating point if views but Shafak makes it very enjoyable.
There are some beautiful lines in this book which stopped me in my track or made me gasp out loud, and the end threw me for a loop.
Either way, it was a good book. But if you’re a Muslim and you’re not totally into the blasphemy thing this might not be a book for you?
