this book would have been like 100 pages if either of these people ever actually conversed with each other

i have many thoughts, but chief among them rn is that luc's stance that not being interested in the trappings of rainbow capitalism somehow makes you not part of "queer community" is such an astonishingly white take and i'm genuinely astonished that it's never challenged within the text, either by another character or by the narrative. wild!
