Tiny Stitches: The Life of Medical Pioneer Vivien Thomas by Gwendolyn Hooks

5.0

It saddens and angers me that I and so many others have never and will never hear of Vivien Thomas's contribution to the medical world. Just because of the color of his skin.

This is an introductory biography for children (a picture book for older readers to be exact), but I'd recommend it to everyone to educate themselves on this remarkable man. Hopefully it will have you wanting you to learn more about his life like it has to me.
